TPM International Symposium at the Iranian Congress of Transplants
Last week the TPM team made up by: Dr Procaccio from Italy, Dr Boni from Brasil, Professor Soler from ESADE Barcelona, Professors Katy Najafizadeh and Omid Ghobadi from Iran and Martí Manyalich president of the DTI, performed the first TPM International Symposium at the Iranian Congress of Transplants, in the city of Mashhad, located in the north of the country on the border with Afghanistan.
Participants, concretely 53 directors of the OPU (Organ Procurement Unit) who had already received training about TPM in 2013 and last year in Tehran, had the chance to extend their knowledge about:
- How to improve the functioning of their OPU.
- How to improve their clinical practices.
- How to develop the leading and team building tasks.
The training turned out to be very successful and it is significant to highlight the great enthusiasm from all assistants, the dedication from the Professors and the excellent support received from two organizations: The National Iranian Transplant Organization, represented by Dr Katy Najafizareh and her team Omid Ghodabi, Shadi Shafaghi and Shirin; and on the other side the hosts, the organizers of the congress, its president Dr Malek Hosseini and the president of the scientific committee Dr Yarmohammadi.
