Talk for transplanted people: organ donation, culture and religion
DTI organized a talk which gave patients the opportunity to learn about organ donation and the thoughts of different cultures and religions.
The talk hosted both healthcare professionals and patients. Jorge Twose, head of communication and public relations in OCATT, was invited to explain a project he worked on which explained the different perspectives on organ donation of the main religions and cultures in Catalonia. Dr. Brian Alvarez, DTI’s head of International Cooperation, moderated the session.
You can find all the information about the guides created by OCATT here.
These Talks give the opportunity for patients, families and friends to share their experiences and ask professionals about their doubts. These conversations provide a warm and welcoming space for patients and their loved ones to discuss their experiences, advice on how to face these challenges, and tips alongside doctors, professionals, and members of the DTI Foundation.
Patient talks are offered for free online, and are offered in Spanish and English. These talks are offered monthly. More information and links to sign up for talks can be found on our website, social media and newsletter.
