TEODOR (Transeuropean Educational Initiative in Organ Donation and Transplantation) is an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Commission and led by Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital (Latvia).

A total of 86 people participated in the event (43 trainees, 17 trainers and 26 experts). The participants were from Latvia, Czech Republic and Lithuania, as the project aims to train medical professionals from these countries in the field of organ donation and transplantation.

During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to visit Hospital Clínic and Vall d’Hebron and attend workshops and lectures on organ donation and transplantation. The workshops covered many topics such as liver assessment, surgical techniques, DCD type II, III and IV, postoperative care and many others. The teaching staff leading the sessions was composed of trainers trained in the project and experts from the University of Barcelona and the Karolinska Institute (Sweden).
