The Mabuhay Donors Project has started, thanks to funding from a Eurofins Grant. Led by Dr. Brian Álvarez, head of International Cooperation in DTI, the project aims to improve organ donation practices in the Southern Philippines region.

The project started with an onsite visit from Dr. Álvarez in the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao. During his stay, healthcare professionals received training on crucial ICU practices as hemodynamic management and mechanical ventilation. The visit also included hands-on support in ICU operations and meetings with key stakeholders to ensure a smooth project implementation.

This project isn’t just about improving organ donation, it’s about saving lives. With Eurofins Grant’s support, we’re making bigger steps towards a healthier future for all.
