DTI Foundation participated in the 8th China–International Organ Donation Conference (CIODC), held from 6 to 8 December 2025 in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to global collaboration in organ donation and transplantation. The CIODC is one of the leading international platforms for professionals, institutions and policymakers working to advance deceased organ donation systems worldwide.

The DTI delegation included Martí Manyalich, President of DTI Foundation; Dr Chloë Ballesté, Medical Director; Joaquim Albiol; and Seow Huey, who joined experts from China, Europe and other regions in scientific sessions, high-level discussions and technical visits.

Throughout the conference, DTI Foundation contributed to international dialogue on best practices, ethical frameworks, donation governance, professional training and system development. The delegation also reunited with long-standing colleagues and collaborators, strengthening professional bonds built over decades of shared work.

The event gathered renowned figures from the global transplantation community, including leaders from China’s National Organ Donation System, European experts in donation governance, and representatives of international organisations. DTI’s sustained collaboration with Chinese institutions was warmly acknowledged during the conference.

Participation in CIODC 2025 reinforces DTI Foundation’s mission to improve donor programmes, advance education and strengthen global cooperation to enhance outcomes for patients awaiting transplantation worldwide.
