DTI Foundation participates in the 6th Transplant Masterclass: Shaping the Future of Organ Donation and Transplantation
DTI Foundation is honored to participate in the 6th Transplant Masterclass, taking place from December 6 to 8, 2024, at the Domotel Kastri Hotel in Greece. Organized by the Onassis Foundation, this seminar brings together healthcare professionals from around the world to discuss the future of organ donation and transplantation.
DTI Foundation is particularly proud to contribute its expertise in Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD), a key focus of this year’s event. DTI’s experience in advancing DCD practices and integrating them into healthcare systems has been crucial in the development of organ donation procedures in Greece. By sharing insights into the ethical, scientific, and practical aspects of DCD, DTI is playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of organ donation to save more lives.
In addition to DCD, the seminar will explore innovations in machine perfusion, organ preservation technologies, and strategies to improve organ quality. Discussions will also highlight new advancements in heart, lung, liver, and kidney perfusion, as well as the future of controlled DCD.
With over 140 participants, the event provides a vital platform for exchanging knowledge, ideas, and best practices among professionals. The Onassis Foundation, in collaboration with the Hellenic Transplant Organization and Onassis Hospital, continues to lead important discussions that influence the global transplant community.
