DTI experts visit several hospitals in United Arab Emirates
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Martí Manyalich, President of DTI, and the International Development team, Dr. Chloë Ballesté, Dr. Brian Alvarez and Dr. Richard Pietroski, were in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi.
During their visit, our experts participated in a meeting with the medical director, the head of the intensive care unit, and representatives from the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). During this week, our team had the opportunity to meet with experts at Dubai Hospital and Mediclinic City. We greatly appreciate the warm hospitality extended to our team during their stay. The DTI also visited Al-Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital and Cleveland Clinic in Dubai accompanied by representatives from Dubai Health Authority, MOHAP, and Medical Director.
We are working closely with Dr. María Paula Gómez, Medical Director of the National Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation of MOHAP. This was made possible through our collaboration with SEHA, which aims to promote organ donation and transplantation in the UAE.
Their last visits in the United Arab Emirates were Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) and Kings College Hospital London – Dubai, where they attended with Dr. Bo Ericzon, former ESOT president and former head of Scandia Transplant. These medical centers are known nationally for their commitment to innovation. In fact, the Cleveland Clinic is ranked #1 in clinical and medical innovation, and SKMC is home to the first transplant center in the United Arab Emirates. We appreciate the opportunity to work with their teams to improve and evaluate transplant programs at their centers.
Our team’s visit to the UAE has provided us with many opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing. We are committed to advancing medical science and creating partnerships that benefit healthcare and help save more lives.
