The availability of diverse human biological sample types plays a pivotal role in driving research. At DTI, we prioritize the highest quality practices to ensure that the samples we provide meet the rigorous standards necessary for successful research outcomes. By facilitating access to these biological samples, we contribute to the collective effort in advancing medical knowledge and ultimately make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need.

Through the Research and Development department of DTI, we work with a huge network of hospitals mainly in Europe to facilitate the access to fresh human biological samples for cutting-edge research projects. This allows researchers from different fields to advance scientific knowledge and drive medical breakthroughs.

Each biological sample request is different, and needs be matched with specific information or other requirements, depending on the type of project being conducted. Often, pathological tissues, which refer to tissues affected by disease or injury, are requested. These samples are obtained from patients who may have experienced specific diseases or conditions. Studying affected tissues helps evaluate treatment responses and find strategies to combat the diseases, whose benefit may be applied to patients with similar pathologies in the future.

Researchers often request healthy and pathological samples together for comparison and control purposes. By analyzing the healthy tissue as well, a baseline is provided for identifying normal biological processes and deviations associated with specific pathological conditions. We provide both tissues so researchers can analyze underlying treatment responses and find new ways to combat specific conditions. Once the samples are provided, the research can proceed, and if additional samples are required, DTI Foundation will readily explore the possibility of obtaining them.
