This week, we celebrated the 50th edition of the Italian National TPM (Transplant Procurement Management) course. Since it started in 1997, in collaboration with the Centro Nazionale Trapianti (CNT), this program has trained over 4000 Italian healthcare professionals.

This partnership with CNT has not only delivered national but also regional training, international projects, and a master’s program, expanding knowledge and skills in the field of organ donation and transplantation.

During the course’s conclusion, Dr. Massimo Cardillo, CNT Director, received a commemorative plaque from DTI, delivered by Dr. José Luís Escalante, a Spanish transplant coordination expert who has been involved in all the courses.

The ceremony included Sara Mascarin, CNT consultant and course chair since 1997, Dr. Martí Manyalich, President of DTI Foundation and founder of TPM, and Carmen Blanco, head of TPM-DTI Educational Programs.

As we mark the 50th edition of the Italian National TPM course, we acknowledge the impact this partnership continues to have on improving organ donation practices in Italy and saving more lives.

The DTI Foundation expresses deep gratitude to all CNT staff and faculty members for this ongoing collaboration, which continues to train healthcare professionals through TPM courses.
