The 3rd edition of the International Workshop on Family Approach for Organ Donation has ended today. We had the opportunity to count with 11 students from 7 different countries who actively participate in every online session.

This course aims to provide participant with the communication skills they need to have difficult conversations with patients’ families. Ensuring these conversations are done by trained healthcare professionals helps improve consent rates for organ and tissue donation from deceased donors.

During this 3-days online course, participants have been able to learn through an immersive learning experience using VR technology. This activity has allowed them to take decisions and practice what they would say and how they would act during a family interview.

We want to thank all the international faculty and participants who took part in this course. We hope you have been able to learn from the faculty and from your colleagues while exchanging experiences.
