The most recent training activity of DTI was the Intermediate Course In Transplant Procurement Management  held in Hong-Kong on August 15-17th. This was the first course in Hong- Kong and was organized in collaboration with the Hospital Authorities of Hong-Kong.

39 participants with a variety of profiles coming from  Intensive Care Units, Nephrology, Neurosurgery and Nursery were actively engaged in the training program together with the TPM experts. The local Transplant Coordinators, who previously were trained in TPM Barcelona participated as well in this course. The majority of the participants were from the main hospitals in where the donation and transplantation activity already is established. During the course all the participants had the opportunity to gather deeper knowledge in Donation practices and as well improve their skills by participating in the workshops and simulation practices. Several questioning sessions were facilitated in where the experts were happy to clarify every doubt the participants addressed.

Dr. Manyalich, as part of DTI expertize team,  had also the opportunity to visits The Queen Mary Hospital and to meet with the directors, key point persons in donation and transplantation community in this hospital and as well with person at higher level of health care authority.

Moreover high interest for this activity was shown also by mass media who followed closer the activity and made interviews with the TPM-DTI experts.

Hoping that this curse will have an impact in the donation rate and transplantation activities in Hong Kong, DTI will be happy and pleased to continue further trainings and to further collaborate with the Health Authorities and our colleagues in Hong Kong.
