💚Berga hosts “Donem Vida”: promoting donation culture with DTI Foundation
Berga, June 6, 2025 – The Pavelló de Suècia hosted “Donem Vida”, a heartfelt event commemorating Organ and Tissue Donor Day (June 4), as part of the cultural program “La Patum tot l’any”. Supported by the City of Berga, OCATT, ATHC, and DTI Foundation, the gathering brought together healthcare professionals, transplant recipients, and local residents united by a shared commitment to donation.
The event’s visual symbol—a human figure offering a beating heart, echoing the drum of La Patum—embodied the selfless act of giving life.
Reflection, emotion, and tribute
The afternoon featured talks from healthcare experts, moving stories from transplant recipients, and the presentation of the ATHC’s 30th Anniversary commemorative statuette, designed by Salvador Vinyes, artist and liver transplant recipient.
Hosted by journalist Xavi Rossinyol, the event included speeches by Andrea Corominas (City Council of Berga), Montse Collado (ATHC VicePresident), Dr. MartĂ Manyalich (DTI Foundation President), Jaume Tort (OCATT Director), and Salvador Vinyes.
