DTI offers international support in organ donation and transplantation.

Donation & Transplantation Institute (DTI) is a non-profit organization committed to improve society’s quality of life through donation and transplantation of organs, tissues and cells.

DTI’s founders are a group of internationally recognized experts in the area of organ donation and transplantation. DTI brings together international experts in the field to advise and support the implementation of projects in organ, tissue and cell donation and transplantation, and creates a wide network for research.

HISTORY

Transplant Procurement Management (TPM®) is an educational program that since 1991 has trained over 19,000 healthcare professionals from 113 countries. TPM training is designed to adapt the courses contents to the specific needs of the diverse countries’ situation.

All educational materials are translated into other languages when required. Advanced courses are yearly implemented in five languages (Spanish, English, Italian, French and Portuguese).

    • We are here thanks to you! Thanks to healthcare professionals, patients, patient associations, institutions and people who want to improve healthcare systems in their countries and improve people’s quality of life.
    • We hope we continue helping, training and advising healthcare professionals worldwide to save 1 million lives.
  • Digitalization
    • From DTI Foundation, we improved our TPM online courses with an improved digitalization and user experience as well as leading consultancy projects at an international level through virtual training and conferences.
  • DONATION & TRANSPLANTATION INSTITUTE is launched
    • DTI Foundation is created with Martí Manyalich as its President. As TPM Courses expanded the foundation was created to help institutions, regions and countries to develop organ donation units through a new consultancy service and other projects.
  • Creation of the TPM Manual
    • The TPM Manual is an extended book created by international experts in the field of organ and tissue donation and transplantation that includes all the medical practices related to this topic. Since then DTI has published 4 editions and translated it into several languages.
  • First TPM Course in English
    • Took place in Barcelona with a group of international healthcare professionals.
  • First TPM Course in Spanish
    • Took place in Barcelona and was directed by Dr. Martí Manyalich, founder of TPM together with a group of pioneering doctors from the national donation and transplantation network .
