The EMPODaT project visited Lebanon
From the 6th to the 10th of July 2015, as part of the EMPODaT project, we assist to the International Assessment Seminar that took place in Lebanon in both University of Balamand and the Lebanese American University. The program was very intense and thanks to the great cooperation of our European experts on Organ Donation and Transplantation, Juan Villar Gallardo and Patrick Von Samson, together with local coordinators and experts, all the students consolidated their knowledge in a great atmosphere.
Among other contents about Organ Donation and Transplantation, the students worked on several clinical cases and workshops on donor detection, brain death and donor management, the family approach, the organ recovery... Later, participants were able to present their studies to a jury of experts. Finally, for the dissemination of the project, several events were implemented: a networking and a mass media event.
We are very thankful for the welcoming we received as well as the great hospitality of our partners from Lebanon. We are now very much looking forward for the final meeting of EMPODaT, to measure all the outcome of the project.
