“More donors, more transplants” – April 2008
The President of the Foundation has the role to represent the Foundation worldwide throughout different kind of activities such as participation in congresses as invited speaker as well as directing training activities and cooperation programs around the world. He is also a very important figure inside this organization, the reference person who leads and guides the Foundation. Martí Manyalich is a Medical Doctor, PhD and has more than 30 years of experience in the field of organ, tissue and cells donation and transplantation. Nowadays, he is the assessor on transplantation in the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, as well as Associated professor at the University of Barcelona- Medical School. He is also a member of several International societies and his expertise in this field is globally recognized.

The Institutional Relations department aims to improve the positioning and image of the Foundation, as well as maintain and obtain grants and aids. It is also responsible for promoting volunteering at the Foundation and organizing solidarity actions to secure sponsors.
She holds a degree in Romance Philology and is a Translator-Interpreter from the UAB. Additionally, she has completed a course in Economic and Administrative Management of Hospitals at EADA. Since 1984, she has experience in Hospital Management as the Economic and Administrative Head and Client Management at the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona. Since 1993, she has been the Economic-Administrative Responsible for the TPM project. She is a founding member of the DTI Foundation’s board.

Coordinates the research area of the foundation, both in training and in international cooperation. For this reason, advises team members on the research orientation of their activities, especially promoting the scientific aspect of the Foundation. Directs the Scientific Committee of the Foundation, and is also founder of DTI Foundation and member of the Board of Trustees.
Ricard Valero, MD, PhD, is associate medical professor at the University de Barcelona and head of the Anesthesiology Department in Hospital Clínic of Barcelona. He is a senior specialist and collaborating physician since 1990 with the Transplant coordination at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona.

Innovation Director of the Global Health Institute of Barcelona and senior Innovation consultant of the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona since 2015.
